We went to the Pontefract Liquorice Festival with a unique new edible workshop idea!

With our liquorice decorated toy theatre we encouraged the children of Pontefract to build their own liquorice characters to take to the stage,.. or eat.

A workshop that teaches the mechanics of theatre design in a fun and edible way.

Available to book.

As part of the “Puppet Up!” festival in Blackpool we were commissioned to do a week of puppet making workshops for Weeton Primary School.

The children made marionettes with the theme of fashion through the ages and hand puppets with an ancient Egyptian theme.

We are available for puppet making workshops of any kind; shadow, marionette, glove or rod.

This giant monster puppet was created through workshops with various groups in Bentham, North Yorkshire for Bentham Theatre Group’s production of “Sleeping Beauty”. For this we used papier mache over a withy frame to help create this fearsome beast. This puppet was adapted for use in street parades and details of him can be found here.

We’re always available for mask making workshops. These were made by children at Playaways, Eshton Grange.

Scenery painting and set design workshops are available. Here’s RMT’s Collette Knowles painting the backdrop for Bentham Theatre Group’s acclaimed production of “The Hound of the Baskervilles”!
